Dr. David Wright-Professor and Director of the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, University of Maryland, Solomons Island, MD

David has been key speaker numerous times for various international conventions and maritime symposiums. He has devoted his life to the study of effects of inorganic pollutants and UV light on marine/estuarine organisms, ionic interactions in aquatic organisms and is considered an expert in the treatment of ANS. He and Dr. Rodger Dawson have developed and patented the biocide Seakleen® for use in long-term control of ANS in ship ballast water. 

Dr. Rodger Dawson-Associate Professor and Researcher at the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory, University of Maryland, Solomons Island, MD

Rodger is considered an expert in the development and study of systems for controlling Aquatic Invasive Species from ship ballast water for many years. He is active in the international maritime community and has worked diligently in helping to solve this problem. His professional background includes chemical oceanography, petroleum geochemistry, marine organic chemistry, marine pollution research and riverine influences on organic fluxes in marine systems. Rodger has spent much of his professional life dedicated to the solution of marine aquatic problems, including ship ballast water and the invasion of ANS. 

R. E. “Bob” Miller-President of Power Sonics LLC, Eldersburg, Maryland

Bob was one of the initial founding executives of the Westinghouse Ultrasonic Division, who with a group of key employees ultimately acquired the division when it was spun off in 1986. Todd Payton-Manager,-University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas

Todd is the User Support Manager of Administrative Systems for UTMB. Previously he was a Senior Manager in the Global Sector Unit of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young after 21 years of rapidly increasing management responsibility in the information technology industry. Don was a Tax Compliance Officer with Louisiana-Pacific Corporation and Treasurer of Texas Energy Petroleum Corporation ( a refined products trading company ) early in his career. Moved to the chemical industry as Division Controller of Georgia Gulf Corporation (an LBO of Georgia Pacific Corporation) and is currently a Senior Loan Officer with Hometrust Mortgage.

Tom Gross, Retired, Former Data Management Shell Petroleum, Houston, Texas

Tom Gross has 27 years experience in the computer technology field, which includes nearly 20 years with NASA at Johnson Space Center as a flight controller and systems analyst in the Mission Control Center. Mr. Gross’ background includes the petrochemical industry where he served as a multi platform distributive processing administrator for Shell Information Technology International, responsible for global wide computer processing and systems integration. He is currently associated with Allied Mortgage as a loan officer.

Experience in the development and financing of developmental stage companies was gained in 4 years as COO and VP of Ramgen Power Systems of Seattle. Chye has been involved in the field of laboratory and process instrumentation business for the past 17 years in the Asian region.
