The Source of Life!

Water is the most important resource we have. People can survive without food for several weeks, but without water we would die in less than one week. On a slightly less dramatic note, millions of litres of water are needed every day worldwide for washing, irrigating crops, and cooling industrial processes, not to mention leisure industries such as swimming pools and water sports centers. Despite our dependence on water, we use it as a dumping ground for harmful waste, and do very little to protect the water supplies we have.

A Growing Threat!

The world is one immense water problem. Pollution in all of its guises impacts water: This includes dumping of untreated human waste, industrial residues and wastewater, use of contaminating fertilizers, air pollution and its resulting acid rain and the transport of ballast water with bacteria by ships around the world (80 million metric tons are discharged annually in U.S. Ports).

Now There is Qwater!

Qwater has developed a process using ultrasound to destroy organisms in water. The primary applications include disinfection of potable water, wastewater treatment and ballast water.
